Mathematical Investigations from the perspective of Lakatos' epistemology: perceptions of and from studies

Resumo: The study aims to discuss the implications of research on Lakatos' epistemology and Mathematical Investigation (MI). For this, a meta-analysis bibliographic study was carried out in published scientific articles, with the purpose of analyzing and presenting reflections on the use of Lakatos' epistemology in research with MI. The analyzed studies point out that there are points of convergence between them, among which we highlight the understanding of what MI is, the notion of advancing Science and the way of perceiving knowledge as progressive or degenerative. At the end, some points of these two researches were highlighted that may give rise to new studies.

At the end, some points of these two researches were highlighted that may give rise to new studies.El estudio tiene como objetivo discutir las implicaciones de la investigación sobre la epistemología y la investigación matemática (IM) de Lakatos. Para ello, se realizó un estudio bibliográfico de metaanálisis en artículos científicos publicados, con el propósito de analizar y presentar reflexiones sobre el uso de la epistemología de Lakatos en la investigación con IM. Los estudios analizados señalan que existen puntos de convergencia entre ellos, entre los cuales hemos asinalado la comprensión de lo que es la IM, la noción de avance de la Ciencia y la forma de percibir el conocimiento como progresivo o degenerativo. Al final, se destacaron algunos puntos de estas dos investigaciones que pueden dar lugar a nuevos estudios.O estudo objetiva discutir as implicações de duas pesquisas acerca da epistemologia de Lakatos e da Investigação Matemática (IM). Para isso, apoia-se em Fiorentini e Lorenzato (2012) e utiliza a metodologia designada de meta-análise qualitativa com a finalidade de analisar e apresentar reflexões a respeito da utilização da epistemologia de Lakatos na pesquisa com IM. Os estudos analisados apontam que há pontos de convergência entre eles, dentre os quais destacamos o entendimento do que é a IM, a noção de avanço da Ciência e a forma de perceber o conhecimento como progressivo ou degenerativo.
