Problem Solving and Geometry: A study of recent research

Resumo: This article aims to answer the following issue: How are researches that use the Problem Solving methodology for teaching and learning Geometry with Basic Education students? For this, the objective is to understand how the researches that use the Problem Solving methodology for the teaching and learning of Geometry with students in Basic Education are. As a methodological approach, the Mapping procedures in Educational Research were used, and their data were formed from the selection of seven researches in two scientific databases, the Theses and Dissertations Catalog of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) and the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD), in the last 10 years. For analysis, they were composed of five a priori categories: a) theoretical references of research; b) the investigated problems / research interest; c) methodologies used in research; d) main research results e) prospects for continuity. Thus, from the analysis made, it was possible to verify that the use of the Problem Solving methodology, for the teaching of Geometry, allows students to take a longer course in Mathematics classes, in addition to presenting contributions to the teaching and learning process.

Para ello, el objetivo es comprender cómo se presentan las investigaciones que utilizan la metodología de Resolución de Problemas para la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de la Geometría con estudiantes de Educación Básica. Como abordaje metodológico se utilizaron los procedimientos de Mapeo en la Investigación Educativa, y sus datos se conformaron a partir de la selección de siete investigaciones publicadas en dos bases de datos científicas, el Catálogo de Tesis y Disertaciones de la Coordinación para la Perfeccionamiento del Personal en Educación Superior (CAPES) y la Biblioteca Digital Brasileña de Tesis y Disertaciones (BDTD), en los últimos 10 años. Para el análisis se establecieron cinco categorías a priori: a) referencias de investigación teórica; b) los problemas investigados / el interés de la investigación; c) metodologías utilizadas en investigación; d) principales resultados de la investigación ye) perspectivas de continuidad. Así, a partir del análisis realizado, se pudo constatar que el uso de la metodología de Resolución de Problemas, para la enseñanza de la Geometría, permite a los estudiantes involucrarse más en las clases de Matemáticas, además de brindar aportes al proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje.Este artigo visa responder a seguinte problemática: Como são apresentadas as pesquisas que utilizam a metodologia de Resolução de Problemas para o ensino e a aprendizagem de Geometria com estudantes da Educação Básica? Para isso, objetiva-se compreender como são apresentadas as pesquisas que utilizam a metodologia de Resolução de Problemas para o ensino e a aprendizagem de Geometria com estudantes na Educação Básica. Como abordagem metodológica, foi utilizado os procedimentos do Mapeamento na Pesquisa Educacional, e os seus dados foram constituídos a partir da seleção de sete pesquisas publicadas em dois bancos de dados de cunho científico, o Catálogo de Teses e Dissertações da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) e a Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações (BDTD), nos últimos 10 anos. Para análise, foram estabelecidas cinco categorias a priori: a) referenciais teóricos das pesquisas; b) os problemas investigados/interesse de pesquisa; c) metodologias utilizadas nas pesquisas; d) principais resultados das pesquisas e e) perspectivas de continuidade.
