Curriculum development in Youth Education: Science education in the margins of precariousness and resistance

Resumo: | This research aims to understand the processes that create Youth Education science curricula. Supported by authors stemming from critical theories and by Freirean thought, it analyzes curriculum as a social construction shaped by the agency of educators in the face of structural conditions that define their actions. Through interviews, this paper highlights the paths that educators take when facing the challenge of overcoming a teacher-centric identity, by striving to achieve a professional performance of greater autonomy and the creation of curricular designs specific to Youth Education. This requires learning how to listen to the students, build dialogue, and combat their self-depreciation. |

Apoyado en autores de las teorías críticas y del pensamiento freireano, se produce un contexto de inteligibilidad comprometido con el análisis del currículo como una construcción social modelada por la agencia de sus educadores, frente a las condicionantes estructurales que configuran sus acciones. Por intermedio de entrevistas, la interpretación destaca los movimientos que realizan los educadores ante el desafío de la superación de una identidad centrada solamente en el aula, tensionando modos de actuación profesional en los que buscan ganar mayor autonomía y crear diseños curriculares propios de la modalidad. Para ello, es urgente aprender a escuchar a los estudiantes, construir el diálogo y luchar contra su sentido de autodesvalorización.A pesquisa busca compreender os processos de construção dos currículos de Ciências na EJA. Apoiada em autores das teorias críticas e do pensamento freiriano, produz um contexto de inteligibilidade empenhado em analisar o currículo como uma construção social modelada pela agência de suas educadoras, em face aos condicionantes estruturais que configuram suas ações. Por meio da realização de entrevistas, a interpretação põe em relevo os movimentos que as educadoras fazem diante do desafio de superar uma identidade aulista, tensionando modos de atuação profissional na qual se busca conquistar maior autonomia e criação de desenhos curriculares próprios para a modalidade.
