Resumo: The present project aimed to investigate the implementation of Law 10.639/03 and an Education of Ethnic-Racial Relations (ERE) from the teaching of Biology in the context of the Integrated Technical High School of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Minas Gerais (IFMG). For this, the Institutional Development Plan (PDI) of the IFMG was examined. The didactic-pedagogical practice and the relationship with the didactic materials experienced by the professors of the Biology areas were analyzed, and the presence of the theme inserted in the triad was evaluated, teaching, research and extension of the IFMG and the development of a digital platform for the dissemination of science by Afro-Brazilians in the area of ​​Biology. It is noticed that the Teaching of Ethnic-Racial Relations is a recent subject at the IFMG, being, from an institutional point of view, in the implementation phase of Law nº. 10,639/2003. The teachers' perception of their pedagogical practice, from the perspective of ethnic-racial relations, is predominantly described as a superficial approach to the theme. In this way, it is urgent to internalize and implement the legislation relevant to the subject, an update of teacher training in Biology, reflection on teaching materials and the creation of affirmative actions for teaching professionals and specific support for teaching, research and extension projects centered on in the education of ethnic-racial relations.

In this way, it is urgent to internalize and implement the legislation relevant to the subject, an update of teacher training in Biology, reflection on teaching materials and the creation of affirmative actions for teaching professionals and specific support for teaching, research and extension projects centered on in the education of ethnic-racial relations.  El presente proyecto tuvo como objetivo investigar la implementación de la Ley 10.639/03 y una Educación de las Relaciones Étnico-Raciales (ERE) a partir de la enseñanza de la Biología en el contexto de la Escuela Técnica Superior Integrada del Instituto Federal de Educación, Ciencia y Tecnología de Minas. Gerais (IFMG). Para ello, se examinó el Plan de Desarrollo Institucional (PDI) del IFMG, se analizó la práctica didáctico-pedagógica y la relación con los materiales didácticos vivenciados por los profesores de las áreas de Biología, se evaluó la presencia del tema insertado en la tríada, docencia, investigación y extensión de la IFMG y el desarrollo de una plataforma digital para la divulgación de la ciencia de los afrobrasileños en el área de Biología. Se advierte que la Enseñanza de las Relaciones Étnico-Raciales es un tema reciente en la IFMG, encontrándose, desde el punto de vista institucional, en fase de implementación de la Ley nº. 10.639/2003. La percepción de los profesores sobre su práctica pedagógica, en la perspectiva de las relaciones étnico-raciales, se describe predominantemente como un abordaje superficial del tema. De esta forma, es urgente interiorizar e implementar la legislación pertinente en la materia, la actualización de la formación docente en Biología, la reflexión sobre los materiales didácticos y también la creación de acciones afirmativas para los profesionales de la docencia y el apoyo específico a proyectos de docencia, investigación y extensión, centrado en la educación de las relaciones étnico-raciales.  O presente projeto objetivou investigar a implementação da Lei 10.639/03 e de uma Educação das Relações Étnico-Raciais (ERE) a partir do ensino de Biologia no contexto do Ensino Médio Técnico Integrado do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de Minas Gerais (IFMG). Para isso, examinou-se o Plano de Desenvolvimento Institucional (PDI) do IFMG, analisou-se a prática didático-pedagógica e a relação com os materiais didáticos experimentados pelos docentes das áreas de Biologia, avaliou-se a presença da temática inserida na tríade ensino, pesquisa e extensão do IFMG e o desenvolveu-se uma plataforma digital de divulgação científica de afro-brasileiros na área de Biologia. Percebe-se que o Ensino das Relações Étnico-Raciais é um assunto recente no IFMG, estando, do ponto de vista institucional, em fase de implantação da Lei nº. 10.639/2003. A percepção dos docentes acerca de sua prática pedagógica, sob a ótica das relações étnico-raciais, é descrita predominantemente como uma abordagem superficial à temática.
