Ethnic-racial themes in the discursive community of Sciences and Biology

Resumo: This study aims to understand which norms and standards about ethnic-racial issues are being produced by Science and Biology’s discursive community. This community is understood formed by teachers and researchers interested in the curricular production of these subjects. Methodologically, articles published in the Encontros Nacionais de Ensino de Biologia’s annals in the period 2016 and 2021 were analyzed, considering that events bring together members of this community. The results indicate to a intention for a departure from perspectives that "scientifically" justified racism. Law 10.639/2003 appears associated with scientific knowledge in the production of these subjects, both in teacher training and in elementary school, transforming their teaching purposes. “Desirable” teachers are those who seek to overcome curricular fragmentation, questioning scientific “truths”.

Esta comunidad está formada por professores/as e investigadores/as interesados ​​en el currículo de estas materias. Metodológicamente, se recogieron trabajos de los Encontros Nacionais de Ensino de Biologia, entre 2016-2021, porque tales eventos reúnen a miembros de esta comunidad. Los resultados apuntan a una búsqueda de distanciamiento de perspectivas que justificaban “científicamente” el racismo. La Ley 10.639/2003 aparece asociada al conocimiento científico en la producción de estas materias, tanto en la formación docente como en la educación básica, transformando sus fines didácticos. Los docentes “deseables” son aquellos que buscan superar la fragmentación curricular, cuestionando las “verdades” científicas.Este estudo objetiva compreender que normas e padrões sobre questões étnico-raciais vêm sendo produzidos no âmbito da comunidade discursiva de ensino de Ciências e Biologia. Entende-se que tal comunidade é formada por professores/as e pesquisadores/as interessados na produção curricular dessas disciplinas. Metodologicamente, levantou-se trabalhos dos anais dos Encontros Nacionais de Ensino de Biologia, entre 2016 e 2021, uma vez que tais eventos reúnem membros dessa comunidade. Os resultados apontam uma busca por afastamento de perspectivas que justificaram “cientificamente” o racismo. A Lei 10.639/2003 aparece associada aos conhecimentos científicos na produção dessas disciplinas, tanto na formação docente quanto na educação básica, transformando suas finalidades de ensino.
