A new species of Acestridium Haseman, 1911 (Loricariidae: Hypoptopomatinae) from the Eastern Amazon basin, Brazil

Resumo: Acestridium triplax, new species, is described from the Amazon River basin in Pará State, Brazil. The new species can be distinguished from all its congeners by having one series of middle abdominal plates between the lateral abdominal plates (vs no abdominal plates between the lateral abdominal plates).
