A hybrid method BEM-NRM for magnetostatics problems

Resumo: This article proposes a new method to solve non-linear magnetostatic problems applied to the modeling of electromagnetic devices. A reduced scalar potential formulation is presented and solved by a hybrid BEM-NRM. It has been implemented and tested in a software called MaGot. We will show that the computation time of this new method is very low. Thus, it could be easily and efficiently used for the pre-sizing of actuators.
