E-mail: alestrela@gmail.com The objective of this report was present and discuss a Pleomorphic lobular carcinoma case incipient in canine female, 12 years old, Poodle, attended the Veterinary Medicine Hospital of the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). For this, they were highlighted data relating to clinical, anatomical and histological, immunohistochemical and therapeutic. The final diagnosis was established by histopathological examination which revealed individual cells arranged in “single file”, or dispersed in the stroma cells with sometimes bizarre and multinucleated, and intense nuclear pleomorphism and high rate mitotic. Immunohistochemical evaluation was performed to better characterize the tumor and aid in therapeutic management. The indicated treatment was chemotherapy with carboplatin, however there was progression of the disease and the animal died 54 days after surgery. This report describes at the first time the canine Pleomorphic lobular carcinoma in its initial stage, contributing to the understanding of the biological feature of this tumour.

This report describes at the first time the canine Pleomorphic lobular carcinoma in its initial stage, contributing to the understanding of the biological feature of this tumour.Objetivou-se a partir deste relato, apresentar e discutir um caso de Carcinoma lobular pleomórfico incipiente em fêmea canina, 12 anos, Poodle, atendida no Hospital de Medicina Veterinária da Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA). Para tal, foram ressaltados os dados referentes aos achados clínicos, anatomo-histopatológicos, imuno-histoquí- micos e terapêuticos. O diagnóstico definitivo foi firmado pelo exame histopatológico que revelou células dispostas individualmente, com padrão linear, dispostos em “fila indiana”, ou dispersos no estroma, com células por vezes bizarras e multinucleadas, além de intenso pleomorfismo nuclear e alto índice mitótico. Foi realizada a avaliação imuno-histoquí- mica para melhor caracterização do tumor e auxílio na conduta terapêutica. O tratamento indicado foi a quimioterapia com carboplatina, no entanto houve evolução do quadro clínico e o animal veio a óbito 54 dias após o procedimento cirúrgico.
