E-mail: marciavetcav@yahoo.com.br Aiming to report the ticks present in horses and dogs in the state of Santa Catarina, ticks were identified from the collection of the Laboratory of Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases Center Agroveterinary Sciences (CAV), University of the State of Santa Catarina (UDESC) formed since 1999 and ticks collected in the period from 2008 to 2012 in 33 municipalities of the six mesoregions state. The ticks present in the collection were obtained from samples collected directly in the hosts and samples received at the laboratory. In dogs were identified species Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) microplus, R. sanguineus, Amblyomma aureolatum, A. ovale, A. tigrinum and A. cajennense; and in horses R. (B.) microplus, Anocentor nitens and A. cajennense. The species A. cajennense was first diagnosed in dogs and horses in the State. |

The species A. cajennense was first diagnosed in dogs and horses in the State.Com o objetivo de relatar os ixodídeos presentes em equinos e caninos no estado de Santa Catarina, foram identificados carrapatos da coleção do Laboratório de Parasitologia e Doenças Parasitárias do Centro de Ciências Agroveteriná- rias (CAV) da Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina (UDESC) formada a partir de 1999; e os carrapatos coletados no período de 2008 a 2012 em 33 municípios das seis mesorregiões do Estado. Os ixodídeos presentes na coleção foram obtidos a partir de coletas realizadas diretamente nos hospedeiros e de amostras recebidas no Laboratório. Em cães foram identificadas as espécies Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) microplus, R.sanguineus, Amblyomma aureolatum, A. ovale, A. tigrinum e A. cajennense; em equinos R. (B.) microplus, Anocentor nitens e A. cajennense.
