Resumo: | The electrodissolution of commercial brass (60.8Cu-36.3Zn-2.9Pb) and pure copper in 0.1 M HCl were comparatively studied using cyclic voltammetry and a rotating ring-disk electrode. The dissolution mechanism of both specimens presents distinct kinetic parameters. However, the dissolution mechanism of the Cu component of brass is the same as that observed for pure copper. |
