Resumo: The electrochemical behavior of amorphous Ni-Co alloys in carbonate/bicarbonate solutions was investigated using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy combined with voltammetry and stationary polarization techniques. The results indicate that the kinetics of the dissolution processes are dependent on the pH and ionic strength of the electrolyte. The composition of the glassy metal is an important factor in determining the kinetic parameters involved in the complex electrochemical behavior of these materials.
