Resumo: According to studies, sexuality is constructed and marked by history, culture, science, affections and feelings, expressing itself with singularity in each subject. Driven by sexuality, more specifically female sexuality, as object of study and having my professional experience (as a nurse and still acting as a specialistin sex education) as a motivating factor, by observing through dialogues, the impacts of sexuality in the experience of women who passed the nursing consultation with me, I wanted to transform this experience into a speech that aims to demonstrate the possibilities and difficulties of nursing in the fieldof sexuality and to reflect on the experience of heterosexual women in the practices and representations about sexuality and the pursuit of pleasure as his by right, having as a problem the influence of discourses on sexuality, based on morality and nature, influencing the strengthening of female submission and male hegemony, thus, on gender issues. As a method I bring the active listening and the PLISSIT method in the sexualities office, as well as my perception as a researcher and a woman, in order to construct a discussion in a situated way. In the results, we suggest a sexual (re) discussion as a quality of life and practice of empowerment for women, noting that as hegemonic, naturalizing and universal discourses focusing on the object of sexuality, it produces negative effects on gender and impacts socioculturally, refers to female submission and health, since it goes from disregard for their well-being.
