Resumo: A new genus, Steyskalina Knutson, is erected for S. picta Ghorpadé & Marinoni, an undescribed species of the Sciomyzidae, Tetanocerini, discovered from Burma and the neighbouring Yunnan Province of China. The habitus and male terminalia are illustrated. Comments about the affinities of the genus within the Tetanocerini are also included.
