New genera and species of gall midges (Diptera, Cecidomyiidae) associated with Guarea macrophylla (Meliaceae)

Resumo: Three distinct leaf galls are recorded on Guarea macrophylla (Meliaceae). The galling species were identified as Neolasioptera sp., Guareamyia purpura gen. nov. and sp. nov.; Sphaeramyia flava gen. nov. and sp.nov. The new genera and species are described and illustrated based on material collected at restinga areas in Bertioga (São Paulo, Brazil).
