Resumo: A morphological study of adult and immature stages of the Alphitobius diaperinus (Panzer) is presented with descriptions and original data. The insects were dissected and studied under compound and scanning electron microscope. The structures described were: sensorial pores on the antennae; asymmetrical mandibles of adults and larvae; sexual dimorphism of tibial spurs and terminal segments of pupae, and short setae on the urogornphi of the last larval instar.
