Humanização, educação musical e escola: processos educativos no Musical de Evangelização Santo Agostinho

Resumo: This thesis, qualitative and characterized as a case study, had the Musical of Evangelization Saint Augustine as its object of study, an artistic-musical event promoted by a non-profit, Catholic confessional, primary education school that assist students from Early Childhood Education, Elementary School, and High School and whose realization happened throughout 2018. From a core theme (Saint Augustine), each class made studies and productions about a specific subtopic that culminated in an artistic performance shown at two nights of presentations at the end of the school year. It was the consequence of collective work that counted on the activity participation of teachers, direction, coordination, school staff, parents and other family members of students, and school community volunteers. Admitting this event as a social practice and based on the idea that educational processes emerge from every social practice that, in turn, promote transformations in the life of who experience them, the question that motivated this doctorate research was: what educational processes and human happen changes during an artistic-musical event executed by a school and in which the school community participates collaboratively? Therefore, the aim was to comprehend educational processes and human transformations that resulted from participation in the event. Data arise from the participant observation, collective semi-structured interviews with students and teachers, and an individual semi-structured interview with a student’s mother who also helped as a volunteer. The data registration occurred through a filed diary, simple reports written by some students who wished to do it after the interviews, photos, videos, and audio recordings. The analyses happened using the procedure of content analysis, guided by a group of authors, each within their specific theme, capable of embracing the different issues that emerged from it, in a dialogical manner and with humanization as a horizon. The result revealed sundry educational processes organized into three categories: 1 – theoretical and bibliography; 2 – oriented to the acquisition and development of technical abilities; 3 – oriented to the human formation. Each one of these categories kept itself many educational processes that indicated significant changes in the lives of those involved. Thereby, it was possible to perceive the singular importance of school events that provide the engagement of all those who constitute the school routine and of the community assisted by it and the value that music and different artistic manifestations have in the development of social practices, educational processes, and human transformations. Lastly, this thesis still provides ways and raises new questions and possible sequences of studies about this theme.

Each one of these categories kept itself many educational processes that indicated significant changes in the lives of those involved. Thereby, it was possible to perceive the singular importance of school events that provide the engagement of all those who constitute the school routine and of the community assisted by it and the value that music and different artistic manifestations have in the development of social practices, educational processes, and human transformations. Lastly, this thesis still provides ways and raises new questions and possible sequences of studies about this theme.Esta pesquisa, de cunho qualitativo e caracterizada como um estudo de caso, teve como campo de estudo o Musical de Evangelização Santo Agostinho, um evento de caráter artístico-musical promovido por uma escola de educação básica, confessional católica e sem fins lucrativos, que atende alunos da Educação Infantil, do Ensino Fundamental e do Ensino Médio e cujo processo de realização se deu ao longo do ano de 2018. A partir de um tema central (Santo Agostinho), cada turma de alunos realizou estudos e produções sobre um subtema específico que culminou na elaboração de uma performance artística mostrada nas duas noites de apresentações ocorridas no fim do ano letivo, fruto de um trabalho coletivo que contou com a participação ativa de professores, direção, coordenação e demais funcionários da escola, pais e outros familiares dos alunos e voluntários da comunidade escolar. Admitindo o referido evento como uma prática social e pautado no ideário de que de toda prática social decorrem processos educativos que, por sua vez, promovem transformações na vida de quem os vivencia, a questão que motivou esta pesquisa foi: que processos educativos e transformações humanas ocorrem em meio à realização de um evento, de caráter artístico-musical, promovido por uma escola e no qual a comunidade escolar participa de maneira colaborativa? Dessa forma, o objetivo se deu em compreender processos educativos e transformações humanas que aconteceram a partir da participação no evento. Os dados foram construídos por meio da observação participante, de entrevistas semiestruturadas coletivas com alunos e professores e de uma entrevista semiestruturada individual com uma mãe de aluna que atuou também como voluntária. O registro dos dados se deu por meio de diário de campo, relatórios simples escritos por alguns alunos que desejaram fazê-los após as entrevistas, fotos, vídeos e gravações de áudio. A análise ocorreu sob o procedimento de análise de conteúdo, pautada em um encontro de autores capazes de abarcar, cada um dentro de sua temática específica, os diferentes assuntos que daí emergiram, de maneira dialógica e tendo por horizonte a humanização. Os resultados revelaram a ocorrência de variados processos educativos, os quais foram organizados em três categorias: 1 – teórico-bibliográficos; 2 – voltados à aquisição e/ou desenvolvimento de habilidades técnicas; e 3 – voltados à formação humana. Cada uma dessas categorias guardou em si uma conjuntura de processos educativos que indicaram significativas transformações nas vidas dos envolvidos. Desse modo, foi possível perceber singular importância em eventos escolares que propiciam o envolvimento de todos aqueles que compõem o dia a dia da escola e da comunidade por ela assistida e o valor que a música e as variadas manifestações artísticas possuem no desenvolvimento de práticas sociais, processos educativos e transformações humanas.
