Extratos vegetais na agricultura e no tratamento de sementes

Resumo: | In response to the harmuful effects of the use of toxic substances in agriculture, researches has advanced in the devopment of alternative solutions, aiming to understand the effectiveness of plant extracts in agriculture. The aim of this research was to understand, through a systematic review, the situation of research and scientific dissemination, as well as how current science has approached the use of plant extracts in agriculture, especially in the aplication of seeds, in addition to characterizing the main classes of metabolites found on these studies. A high number of publication was observed in the last ten Years, mainly on the Years 2018, 2019 and 2020, with Brazil being the country with the largest number of researches on this area of study. Phytopathogenic organisms, insect control, biostimulant effect, resistance induction and herbicide effect have been the main themes explored for use in agriculture. Between 2015 and 2020 was the period with the highest rates of researches which explored plants extracts in agriculture focused in identify or quantify the presence of metabolic compounds. Phenolic compounds are a priority class of metabolites for different function, effects and applications in agriculture, mainly in seed treatment. Terpenes have great potential as bioinsecticide for agriculture. Plant species rich in phenolic compound and terpenes are potencial sources of alternative biocontrol for the protection of productive system. |

Plant species rich in phenolic compound and terpenes are potencial sources of alternative biocontrol for the protection of productive system.Em resposta aos efeitos nocivos da utilização de substâncias tóxicas na agricultura, a ciência tem avançado no desenvolvimento de soluções alternativas, visando compreender a eficácia e o potencial de extratos vegetais na agricultura. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi compreender, por meio de uma revisão sistematizada, a situação da pesquisa e divulgação científica, bem como a maneira que a ciência atual tem abordado a temática do uso de extratos vegetais na agricultura, especialmente na aplicação em sementes, além de caracterizar as principais classes e metabólitos secundários encontrados em estudos sobre o assunto. Observou-se um elevado número de publicações nos últimos dez anos, com destaque para os anos de 2018, 2019 e 2020, sendo o Brasil o país de maior produção de trabalhos voltados à essa área de estudo. O controle de microrganismos fitopatogênicos, controle de insetos, efeito bioestimulante, indução de resistência e efeito herbicida tem sido os principais temas explorados para uso na agricultura. O período entre 2015 e 2020 foi o que apresentou maiores índices de publicações de pesquisas que exploram extratos vegetais na agricultura, buscando identificar ou quantificar os compostos presentes nos extratos. Os compostos fenólicos são uma classe prioritária de metabólitos para diferentes funções, efeitos e aplicações na agricultura, principalmente no tratamento de sementes. Os terpenos apresentam grande potencial como bioinseticida para a agricultura.
