Resumo: | The proposal of this research includes the incorporation of residues in concretes and the study of the durability in these concretes with respect to the alkali-aggregate reaction (AAR), to the sulfate attack (SA) and to the passivation of the steel. One of the biggest problems today is the exacerbated generation of solid waste. Within this context, the sugarcane bagasse ash (SBAS) is notable for its high generation rate: for each ton of sugarcane bagasse burned at the mills, about 24 kg of SBAS are generated, which means that in 2017 15 million tons of SBAS were generated in Brazil. In the present study, the AAR, SA and the passive behavior of CA-60 steel were evaluated in reference concrete samples (REF) and samples with 30% SBAS (30SBAS) in bulk substitution to natural sand. To evaluate the AAR, Brazilian standard was followed: samples were exposed to the aggressive solution of sodium hydroxide for 100 days. In this period, expansion measures were carried out and, at the end of this evaluation, it was verified that the SBAS is an aggregate considered potentially innocuous by the norm, as well as the sands used. To evaluate the sulfate attack, Brazilian standard was followed for the external attack and a method adapted to evaluate the internal attack. It was observed that SBAS interferes with the penetration of aggressive solution of sodium sulfate (external attack by sulfates), since mortars with SBAS expanded significantly less than REF. However, the ash did not influence the internal attack by sulfates. To evaluate the passivation, REF and 30SBAS samples were molded, all with two 10 cm steel bars embedded and, in these samples, were carried out the monitoring of open circuit potential, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy, through which it was verified that the passivating film formed in the steel in a mortar environment with SBAS is more protective than the film formed in the steel in the reference mortar. |

Um dos maiores problemas da atualidade é a geração exacerbada de resíduos sólidos. Dentro desse contexto, a areia de cinza de bagaço de cana-de-açúcar (ACBC) destaca-se por apresentar elevado índice de geração: para cada tonelada de bagaço de cana queimado nas usinas, são gerados cerca de 24 kg de ACBC, o que significa que em 2017 foram gerados 15 milhões de toneladas de ACBC no Brasil. Na presente pesquisa foi avaliada a RAA, o AS e o comportamento passivante do aço CA-60 em corpos de prova (CPs) de concreto convencional de referência (REF) e CPs com 30% de ACBC (30ACBC) em substituição em massa à areia natural. Para avaliar a RAA, foi seguida a normalização brasileira: os CPs expostos à solução agressiva de hidróxido de sódio por 100 dias. Nesse período, foram realizadas medidas de expansão e, ao final dessa avaliação, constatou-se que a ACBC é um agregado considerado potencialmente inócuo pela norma, assim como as areias utilizadas. Para avaliar o ataque por sulfatos, foi seguida a normalização brasileira para o ataque externo e um método adaptado para avaliar o ataque interno. Observou-se que a ACBC interfere na penetração de solução agressiva de sulfato de sódio (ataque externo por sulfatos), pois as argamassas com ACBC expandiram significativamente menos que as de REF. Entretanto, a cinza não influenciou no ataque interno por sulfatos. Para avaliar a passivação, foram moldados CPs de REF e 30ACBC, todos com duas barras de aço de 10 cm embutidas. Foram feitos experimentos de monitoramento do potencial de circuito aberto, espectroscopia de impedância eletroquímica e microscopia eletrônica de varredura, pelos quais foi constatado que o filme passivador formado no aço em ambiente de argamassa com ACBC é mais protetor que o filme formado no aço na argamassa de referência.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES)porUniversidade Federal de São CarlosCâmpus São CarlosPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia Civil - PPGECivUFSCarConcretoAreia de cinza de bagaço de cana-de-açúcarResíduoReação álcali-agregadoAtaque por sulfatoPassivaçãoConcreteSugar cane bagasse ashResidueAlkali-aggregate reactionSulfate attackPassivationENGENHARIAS::ENGENHARIA CIVIL::CONSTRUCAO CIVILMatriz cimentícia produzida com resíduo agroindustrial: reação álcali-agregado, ataque por sulfatos e passivação do açoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisOnline6006001741316e-05e9-4256-901a-78db75012179info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Repositório Institucional da UFSCARinstname:Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCAR)instacron:UFSCARORIGINALDissertação_versão-final_Mariana-de-Almeida-Motta-Rezende.pdfDissertação_versão-final_Mariana-de-Almeida-Motta-Rezende.pdfapplication/pdf3585336https://repositorio.ufscar.br/bitstream/ufscar/11049/1/Disserta%c3%a7%c3%a3o_vers%c3%a3o-final_Mariana-de-Almeida-Motta-Rezende.pdf7b8be13d0c1374c05fe4ba98f01bba72MD51LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
