Resumo: The present work analyzes the Brazilian black music from the songs and the cultural work of the singer and composer Francisco César Gonçalves - Chico César - born in the municipality of Catolé do Rocha in the sertão of the State of Paraíba / PB northeast region of Brazil. In the 1990s, the composer abandoned his career linked to journalism and entered the Brazilian music scene, after participating in music festivals in Germany. Featuring a creative poetics in his productions, Chico César begins his career as a musician and composer in the city of São Paulo / SP rescuing a sertanejo (sertão da paraíba) framework and an Africanized grammatical lexic. The set of lyrics of the composer is classified as "communication" and "movement" and is projected with diasporic production, since it disarticulate the logic of the idea of nation present in the analyzes on "Brazilian popular music". The construction of music in Brazil, through Bossa-Nova and later Tropicália, which were understood as reactive movements to a kind of national-popular movement in music, is reoriented by the use of the African diaspora in the sense of African dispersion - creation and recreation of a sense of belonging determined by situations of oppression. The strategy to achieve this goal was to deconstruct the essentialization of difference by repositioning the tensions of the Afro-Atlantic style of the black repertoire and the body. The thesis is that the linguistic innovations (communication) and the transnational re-Africanized lexicon (movement) present in the lyrics, the forms of occupying a social space, hair styles, and the means to constitute and sustain community bonds are responses provided by music of the African Diaspora in reaction to Brazilian popular music. The idea is that the Africanized cultural production of Chico Cesar is critical and dismantles the theater of popular desires which is submitted by the notion of nationality, because from its social development, it constructs a new cultural politics of representation as a new ideological complex and theoretical.

The idea is that the Africanized cultural production of Chico Cesar is critical and dismantles the theater of popular desires which is submitted by the notion of nationality, because from its social development, it constructs a new cultural politics of representation as a new ideological complex and theoretical.O presente trabalho realiza uma análise da música negra brasileira a partir das canções e da obra cultural do cantor e compositor Francisco César Gonçalves - Chico César - nascido no município de Catolé do Rocha no sertão do Estado da Paraíba/PB região nordeste do Brasil. Na década de 1990, o compositor abandona a carreira ligada ao jornalismo e se insere no meio musical brasileiro, após a participação em Festivais de música na Alemanha. Apresentando uma poética criativa em suas produções, Chico César inicia sua carreira enquanto músico e compositor na cidade de São Paulo/SP resgatando um arcabouço sertanejo (sertão da paraíba) e um léxico gramatical africanizado. O conjunto de letras do compositor é classificado como “comunicação” e de “movimento” e se projeta com produção diaspórica, uma vez que desarticula a lógica da ideia de nação presente nas análises sobre a “música popular brasileira”. A construção da música no Brasil, por meio da Bossa-Nova e posteriormente da Tropicália, que foram entendidas como movimentos reativos a um tipo de movimento nacional-popular na música, é re-orientada pelo uso da diáspora africana, no sentido de dispersão africana - criação e recriação de um sentimento de pertencimento determinado por situações de opressão. A estratégia para atingir esse objetivo foi a desconstrução da essencialização da diferença reposicionando as tensões do estilo (música afro-atlântica) do repertório negro e do corpo. A tese é que as inovações linguísticas (comunicação) e o léxico re-africanizado transnacional (movimento) presentes nas letras, as formas de ocupar um espaço social alheio, estilos de cabelos, e meios de constituir e sustentar laços comunitários são respostas fornecidas pela música da diáspora africana em reação a música popular brasileira. A ideia é que a produção cultural africanizada de Chico Cesar é crítica e desmonta o teatro de desejos populares a qual é submetido pela noção de nacionalidade, pois a partir do seu desenvolvimento social, ele constrói uma nova política cultural de representação como um novo complexo ideológico e teórico.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES)CAPES: Código de Financiamento 001porUniversidade Federal de São CarlosCâmpus São CarlosPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Sociologia - PPGSUFSCarDiáspora AfricanaChico CésarMúsicaRelações raciaisAfrican DiasporaMusicRace relationsCIENCIAS HUMANAS::SOCIOLOGIA::OUTRAS SOCIOLOGIAS ESPECIFICASComunicação e Movimento na poética do compositor Chico César: os usos da Diáspora Africana na música negra no Brasilinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisOnline600600dbebda85-2c7b-4624-b3a7-25453b1c223dinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Repositório Institucional da UFSCARinstname:Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCAR)instacron:UFSCARORIGINALSilveira_Dener_Comunicação e movimento na poética do compositor Chico Cesar.pdfSilveira_Dener_Comunicação e movimento na poética do compositor Chico Cesar.pdfapplication/pdf3572270https://repositorio.ufscar.br/bitstream/ufscar/11551/1/Silveira_Dener_Comunica%c3%a7%c3%a3o%20e%20movimento%20na%20po%c3%a9tica%20do%20compositor%20Chico%20Cesar.pdfef28796b7dbcb2c882d9561b2a6c7a37MD51LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
