Resumo: | The production of rocket in Brazil, whether in conventional or organic cultivation uses seeds whose production comes from the conventional system, and there is no availability of seed produced in organic cultivation. The aim of this work was to evaluate the agronomic performance of rocket cultivars, their production and seed quality in organic production in protected environment. Eight cultivars were evaluated for agronomic characteristics: Agatha, Astro, Apreciata, Cultivada, Folha Larga, Giovana, Maia, Rococo in two seasons: summer and autumn. The experimental design was a randomized complete block design with eight replications and the following characteristics were evaluated: plant height, root length, number of leaves, fresh shoot mass, dry shoot and root mass, yield, iron content and vitamin C of the leaves. In the production of seeds, the evaluated characteristics were: time for flowering, number of branches per plant, length of siliqua, number of siliquas per plant, number of seeds per siliqua, yield, thousand seed mass, germination, electrical conductivity and seed health , and the seeds stored for a period of one year were evaluated: germination, electrical conductivity, emergence, emergency speed index and seed health. The averages were compared by the Scott & Knott test at 5% probability. In the cultivation of rocket during the summer and autumn there was statistical difference for most of the characteristics evaluated. 'Giovana' obtained higher values in number of leaves, plant height, root length and shoot dry mass in the summer crop, whereas in the autumn 'Giovana` and 'Astro' of leaf, plant height and root length. It was possible to produce organic rocket seeds with high yield, germination and sanity in an organic system in a protected environment. |

It was possible to produce organic rocket seeds with high yield, germination and sanity in an organic system in a protected environment.A produção de rúcula no Brasil, seja no cultivo convencional ou orgânico utiliza sementes cuja produção é oriunda do sistema convencional, não existindo disponibilidade de semente produzida no cultivo orgânico. O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o desempenho agronômico de cultivares de rúcula, sua produção e qualidade de sementes em sistema de produção orgânico em ambiente protegido. Avaliaram-se oito cultivares para características agronômicas, sendo elas: Agatha, Astro, Apreciata, Cultivada, Folha Larga, Giovana, Maia, Rococó em duas épocas: verão e outono e a produção de semente. O delineamento experimental foi em blocos casualizados com oito repetições e as características avaliadas foram: altura de planta, comprimento de raiz, número de folhas, massa fresca da parte aérea, massa seca da parte aérea e raiz, rendimento, teor de ferro e vitamina C das folhas. Na produção de sementes as características avaliadas foram: tempo para florescimento, número de ramificações por planta, comprimento de síliquas, número de síliquas por planta, número de sementes por síliqua, rendimento, massa de mil sementes, germinação, condutividade elétrica e sanidade de sementes, e as sementes armazenadas pelo período de um ano avaliaram-se: germinação, condutividade elétrica, emergência, índice de velocidade de emergência e sanidade de sementes. As médias foram comparadas pelo teste de Scott & Knott a 5 % de probabilidade. No cultivo de rúcula durante o verão e outono houve diferença estatística para a maioria das características avaliadas. ´Giovana` obtiveram maiores valores em número de folhas, altura de planta, comprimento de raiz e massa seca da parte aérea no cultivo de verão enquanto que para o cultivo de verão, já no outono ´Giovana` e ‘Astro’ se destacaram no número de folha, altura de planta e comprimento de raiz.
