Resumo: The overcoming of problems of social reality such as social exclusion and structural inequalities implies the production of knowledge by the University, especially the Public University, which articulates research, action in reality and educational processes.This production process needs to shift to include making knowledge accessible as part of the process of producing knowledge. The work of the University mobilizes different concepts and principles depending on the conception or economic form that it intends to reinforce. The Solidarity Economy as an economic conception, based on principles such as self-management, cooperation and solidarity, has been considered a strategy to overcome these problems in a territorial perspective of development. This perspective differs from conceptions such as regional, endogenous and local development, which consider the territory only as a cut of space and not as an active protagonist of development. And its promotion has relations with the production of new knowledge, something that the Technological Incubators of Popular Cooperatives, like experiences of the University, began to do, acting in the field of Solidary Economy. This research aimed to systematize the experience of the Multidisciplinary and Integrated Core of Studies, Training and Intervention in Solidarity Economy (NuMI-EcoSol), successor to the Regional Incubator of Popular Cooperatives of the Federal University of São Carlos and to identify its general strategies, essential conditions , difficulties and limits. The general strategies of the research are: 1. post facto research: from the analysis of documents and testimonies; 2. Systematization of experience: construction of a timeline; 3. a case study: the experience of NuMI-EcoSol from its origin in 1999 until 2014. The results obtained evidence the articulation between scientific research, from the reality, access to knowledge through educational processes and action in reality, both in the scope of a discipline offered by the core, as in it as a whole. The core also passed from the incubation of popular cooperatives in several municipalities to incubate Solidarity Economy initiatives having territories as a focus of preferential action and promoting the protagonism of the ventures, approaching the concept of Solidary Economy as a Territorial Development strategy.

Este processo de produção necessita passar a incluir o tornar o conhecimento acessível como parte do processo de produzir conhecimento. A atuação da Universidade mobiliza diferentes conceitos e princípios a depender da concepção ou forma econômica que pretende reforçar. A Economia Solidária como concepção econômica, baseada em princípios como autogestão, cooperação e solidariedade, tem sido considerada estratégia para superação de tais problemas em uma perspectiva territorial de desenvolvimento. Esta perspectiva se difere de concepções como desenvolvimento regional, endógeno e local, que consideram o território apenas como recorte do espaço e não como protagonista ativo do desenvolvimento. E sua promoção tem relações com a produção de novos conhecimentos, algo que as Incubadoras Tecnológicas de Cooperativas Populares, como experiências da Universidade, começaram a fazer, atuando no campo da Economia Solidária. Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo sistematizar a experiência do Núcleo Multidisciplinar e Integrado de Estudos, Formação e Intervenção em Economia Solidária (NuMI-EcoSol), sucessor da Incubadora Regional de Cooperativas Populares, da Universidade Federal de São Carlos e identificar suas estratégias gerais, condições essenciais, dificuldades e limites. As estratégias gerais da pesquisa são: 1. pesquisa pós-fato: a partir da análise de documentos e depoimentos; 2. Sistematização de experiência: construção de uma linha do tempo; 3. estudo de um caso: a experiência da atuação do NuMI-EcoSol desde sua origem em 1999 até 2014. Os resultados obtidos evidenciam a articulação entre pesquisa científica, a partir da realidade, acesso ao conhecimento mediante processos educativos e ação na realidade, tanto no âmbito de uma disciplina ofertada pelo núcleo, como nele como um todo.
