Resumo: Structural masonry is a constructive system very present in the Brazilian civil construction and continues to growing and updated constantly with new studies and technologies. In this work, the prism/block relationship will be approached and compared with some of the main Brazilian and foreign literature and standards, in addition to the comparison of the coefficients of variation of the units, ungrouted prism, grouted prism, mortar and grout tests. The study was based on more than 37,000 tests carried out by Brazilian construction companies and organized into 873 sets of tests in order to obtain the prism/unit ratio and the coefficients of variation for each type of test using graphs. The results obtained for the coefficients of variation indicate an average of 6.66% and 4.20% for the hollow and full prism tests respectively, and for the 95% certainty value the results were 12.58% and 9, 57%. These coefficient values show significantly lower values than the value used by the standard, 20%. The results of the prism/block ratio were related to foreign and Brazilian standards and obtained consistent general values, being slightly less conservative than the Brazilian standard for the average straight line of the sets of tests results.

Neste trabalho será abordada a relação prisma/bloco e comparada com algumas das principais literaturas e normas brasileiras e estrangeiras, além da comparação dos coeficientes de variação dos ensaios de bloco, prisma oco, prisma cheio, argamassa e graute. O estudo foi baseado em mais de 37mil ensaios realizados por construtoras brasileiras e organizado em 873 conjuntos de ensaios aptos de forma a obter a relação prisma/bloco e os coeficientes de variação de cada tipo de ensaio por meio de gráficos. Os resultados obtidos para os coeficientes de variação indicam média de 6,66% e 4,20% para os ensaios de prisma oco e cheio respectivamente, e para o valor de certeza de 95% os resultados foram de 12,58% e 9,57%. Esses valores de coeficientes demonstram valores significativamente menores que o valor utilizado pela norma, de 20%.
