As ocupações de escolas públicas periféricas de Sorocaba/SP em 2015: relatos e reflexões

Resumo: With the education reforms announced in the Constitutional Amendment Proposal (PEC 241/2016), in September 2015, high school students reacted, organizing themselves to take to the streets and express their indignation at the possible closure of schools and relocation of the school community in the state of São Paulo. As these protests did not have the desired effect, in November 2015, the acts gained more strength, until they reached the point where young people occupied school buildings in the State of São Paulo. In the interior of the State, in the city of Sorocaba/SP, schools on the outskirts were pioneers in the movement and this work towards the completion of the Degree in Pedagogy took these events as an object of research. The investigation adopted bibliographical and documentary research as a method, focusing on the actions carried out throughout the fight against reform on the outskirts of Sorocaba/SP. In particular, the research sought to report and reflect on the occupation process based on the experience of the author, who participated in the occupation of E. E. Professor Jorge Madureira, located in the Jardim Guaíba neighborhood, as well as on the routine of the students and the processes educational activities that were developed in this school and in others in the neighborhood, such as E. E. Profª Beathris Caixeiro Del Cistia. The concept of slavery, by Conceição Evaristo, was adopted as a theoretical reference for the analysis and understanding of the facts that occurred in the secondary school occupations investigated.

Como esses protestos não surtiram o desejado efeito, em novembro de 2015, os atos ganham mais força, até chegarem ao ponto de os(as) jovens ocuparem os prédios escolares no Estado de São Paulo. No interior do Estado, na cidade de Sorocaba/SP, as escolas da periferia foram pioneiras no movimento e o presente trabalho de conclusão de curso de Licenciatura em Pedagogia tomou esses eventos como objeto de pesquisa. A investigação adotou como método a pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, focando as ações realizadas ao longo da luta contra a reforma na periferia de Sorocaba/SP. Em particular, a pesquisa procurou relatar e refletir sobre o processo de ocupação a partir da vivência da autora, que participou da ocupação da E. E. Professor Jorge Madureira, localizada no bairro Jardim Guaíba, bem como sobre a rotina dos(as) estudantes e os processos educativos que se desenvolveram nessa escola e em outras do bairro, como a E. E. Profª Beathris Caixeiro Del Cistia.
