Resumo: Human behavior has a decisive influence on the transmission of COVID-19 and must play a main role in national public health efforts. This article analyzes variables of psychosocial intervention that have shown a relationship with the performance of protective behaviors in pandemic contexts. These variables has been organized according to the following intervention objectives: increasing risk perception and self-efficacy, reducing invulnerability bias, managing anxiety and uncertainty, promoting healthy social norms, promoting social capital, promoting behaviors prosocial, and build trust in the authorities and science. Finally, a framework is proposed for the design and implementation of behavioral public health interventions to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in Peru.

SciELO PreprintsSciELO PreprintsSciELO Preprints2020-06-30info:eu-repo/semantics/preprintinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://preprints.scielo.org/index.php/scielo/preprint/view/86810.1590/SciELOPreprints.868spahttps://preprints.scielo.org/index.php/scielo/article/view/868/1203Copyright (c) 2020 William Cabanillas-Rojashttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessCabanillas-Rojas, Williamreponame:SciELO Preprintsinstname:SciELOinstacron:SCI2020-06-29T13:22:33Zoai:ops.preprints.scielo.org:preprint/868Servidor de preprintshttps://preprints.scielo.org/index.php/scieloONGhttps://preprints.scielo.org/index.php/scielo/oaiscielo.submission@scielo.orgopendoar:2020-06-29T13:22:33SciELO Preprints - SciELOfalse
