Resumo: This work presents the electronic and mechanical design of an emerging mechanical ventilator that allows the control of variables such as Peak inspiratory pressure (PIP), Positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP), Respiratory Frequency (FR), Inspiring Time (Ti), Inspiring pause (Pause ins), Trigger Sensitivity, Apnea in Spontaneous Mode (Apnea). For the design, previous experience in the handling of medical mechanical fans and the use of industrial-type stainless steel (316 steel) components and medical equipment was considered. This ventilator allows mandatory control, selection and monitoring of minimum parameters necessary to provide life support to patients with acute respiratory deficiency.
