OBJECTIVITY AND SUBJECTIVITY IN FREIRE AND BAUMAN: TRANSFORMATIVE ACTION ON THE LOGIC OF THE CONSUMER MARKET

Resumo: This article seeks, in the analysis of the relationship between the concepts of subjectivity and objectivity as constitutive dimensions of individuals' identities, to understand the effects of the change in the capitalist control system in its current form. The argument is based on two references: the thinking of the Brazilian philosopher and educator Paulo Freire on his interpretation of the relationship between the oppressor and the oppressed as conditioning the dialectic between subjectivity and objectivity, and the thinking of the Polish sociologist Zygmunt Bauman on the ways in which the capitalist system appropriates the technological means of production and consumption to update the social structure of control that guarantees the maintenance of its essential contradiction, namely, that the search for maximizing the accumulation of value increasingly diminishes its own source of generation, the abstract work. By having in common, as one of their main theoretical references, the dialectical historical materialism of the German philosopher and sociologist Karl Marx, it was possible to identify in the Freirean dialectic and in the Baumanian ambivalence, elements of consensus that could support a proposal of pedagogical action for the development of critical reflection associated with transforming action, as a possibility of rescuing subjectivity co-opted by the logic of the consumer market.

El argumento se basa en dos referencias el pensamiento del filósofo y educador brasileño Paulo Freire sobre su interpretación de la relación entre opresor y oprimido como condicionante de la dialéctica entre subjetividad y objetividad, y el pensamiento del sociólogo polaco Zygmunt Bauman sobre las formas en que el sistema capitalista se apropia de los medios tecnológicos de producción y consumo para actualizar la estructura social de control que garantiza el mantenimiento de su contradicción esencial, a saber, que la búsqueda de la maximización de la acumulación de valor disminuye cada vez más su propia fuente de generación, el trabajo abstracto. Por tener en común, como una de sus principales referencias teóricas, el materialismo histórico-dialéctico del filósofo y sociólogo alemán Karl Marx, fue posible identificar en la dialéctica freiriana y en la ambivalencia baumaniana, elementos de consenso que podrían sustentar una propuesta de acción pedagógica para el desarrollo de la reflexión crítica asociada a la acción transformadora, como posibilidad de rescate de la subjetividad cooptada por la lógica del mercado de consumo.Este artigo busca na análise da relação entre os conceitos de subjetividade e objetividade enquanto dimensões constitutivas das identidades dos indivíduos, compreensão sobre os efeitos da mudança no sistema de controle capitalista em sua forma atual. A argumentação está fundamenta em duas referências: o pensamento do filósofo e educador brasileiro Paulo Freire sobre sua interpretação da relação entre opressor e oprimido como condicionante da dialética entre subjetividade e objetividade, e o pensamento do sociólogo polonês Zygmunt Bauman sobre as formas com as quais o sistema capitalista se apropria dos meios tecnológicos de produção e consumo para atualizar a estrutura social de controle que garante a manutenção de sua contradição essencial, a saber, de que a busca pela maximização do acúmulo de valor diminui cada vez mais sua própria fonte de geração, o trabalho abstrato.
