Resumo: This paper aims to reflect on the exercise of male teaching in the early grades, performing the mapping of professionals by gender and training (Art, Physical Education and Pedagogy), considering the factors that influence the absence, insertion, and permanence of male teachers. The methodological approach used was through the analysis of quantitative data from the education networks, online questionnaire, and semi-structured interviews to teachers. We observed that there are gaps in initial and continuing education of teachers on the topics of gender and sexuality and that it is necessary to promote qualified training policies.

We observed that there are gaps in initial and continuing education of teachers on the topics of gender and sexuality and that it is necessary to promote qualified training policies.Este trabajo tiene como objetivo reflexionar sobre el ejercicio de la docencia masculina en los primeros grados, realizando el mapeo de profesionales por género y formación (Arte, Educación Física y Pedagogía), considerando los factores que influyen en la ausencia, inserción y permanencia de los docentes masculinos. El enfoque metodológico utilizado fue a través del análisis de los datos cuantitativos de las redes educativas, el cuestionario en línea y las entrevistas semiestructuradas a los profesores. Observamos que existen vacíos en la formación inicial y continua del profesorado en los temas de género y sexualidad y que es necesario promover políticas de formación cualificadas. O presente trabalho visa refletir a respeito do exercício docente masculino nas séries iniciais, realizando o mapeamento dos profissionais por gênero e formação (Arte, Educação Física e Pedagogia), tendo em vista os fatores que influem na ausência, inserção e permanência de docentes masculinos. O percurso metodológico utilizado foi através da análise dos dados quantitativos das redes de ensino, questionário online e entrevistas semiestruturadas aos professores.
