The use of the QDA Atlas.ti software for understanding the incremental iterative hermeneutic cycle of discursive textual analysis

Resumo: This article aims to present a theoretical-methodological reflection on the possibilities and limits for using the Qualitative Data Analysis (QDA) ATLAS.ti tool together with the Discursive Textual Analysis (DTA) methodology. For this, the following will be related to the software: the steps, the iterative cycle and the hermeneutic and dialectical relationships of DTA. To exemplify and validate the proposed objective, the analysis process of a qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive research will be described, based on semi-structured interviews with six basic education teachers, whose data were processed and treated from two iterative cycles from DTA, through ATLAS.ti. The discussions presented indicate that the software enables a better immersion, understanding and interpretation of the data during the unitarization and categorization phase, allowing theoretical constructions and deepening of the inquiries made by the researcher, which go beyond the body of analysis.

Para isso, serão relacionadas ao software: as etapas, o ciclo iterativo e as relações hermenêuticas e dialéticas da ATD. A fim de exemplificar e validar o objetivo proposto, será descrito o processo de análise de uma pesquisa qualitativa, exploratória e descritiva, a partir de entrevistas semiestruturadas com seis professores da educação básica, cujos dados foram processados e tratados a partir de dois ciclos iterativos da ATD, por meio do ATLAS.ti.
