Resumo: This research was carried out at Taquari Experimental Station, in order to study the influence of ten rootstocks and three scions of orange in the incidence of the citrus rust mite. The scions of orange cultivars [Citurs sinensis (L.) Osbeck] were 'Valência', 'Hamlin' and 'Seleta Franck'.The rootstocks were: 'Troyer', 'C-20', 'C-65' and 'C-41' citranges [P. trifoliata (L.) Raf. x sinensis (L.) Osbeck]; 'Cleopatra' mandarin (C. reshni); 'Volkameriana' (C. volkameriana); 'Florida' and 'Naci onal' rough lemon (C. jambhiri); 'Taquari' rangpur lemon (C. limonia) and 'Caipira' sweet orange [C. sinensis (L.) Osbeck]. The estimate of the population was made at 15 days of interval. The sampling was based in ten leaves per plant, in five areas with one centimeter of diameter, in each leave. The results support the conclusion that the highest incidence of citrus rust mite occurred in plants with the rootstock ‘Troyer' citrange; the scion of 'Seleta Franck'sweet orange was more infested; between scions of 'Valência' and “Hamlin' sweet orange wasn't difference.

O presente trabalho teve por objetivo verificar a influência de porta-enxertos na incidência do ácaro-da-falsa ferrugem em copas de três variedades de laranjeira-doce (Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck]. O trabalho foi realizado em pomares de laranjeira-doce das variedades ‘Valência', 'Hamlin' e 'Seleta Franck' enxertadas em dez porta-enxertos: citranges 'Troyer', *C-20', 'C-65', 'C-41' [P. trifoliata (L.) Raf. x C. sinensis (L.) Osbeck]; tangerina 'Cleópatra' (C. reshni); limão 'Volkameriano' (C. volkameriana); limão 'Rugoso da Flórida' (C. jambhiri); limão 'Rugoso Nacional (C. jambhiri); limão 'Cravo Taquari' (C. limonia); laranja Caipira' [C. sinensis (L.) Osbeck]. As avaliações foram feitas quinzenalmente, coletando dez folhas por planta (total de 900 folhas/avaliação). Em cada folha foram marcadas cinco áreas com 1 cm de diâmetro, sendo três ao longo da nervura central e duas na parte mais larga da folha, onde foram contados os ácaros, na face superior das mesmas. Os resultados permitem concluir que plantas enxertadas sobre o citrange 'Troyer' tiveram maior incidência de P. oleivora; a laranjeira 'Seleta Franck' apresentou maior incidência do ácaro-da-falsa-ferrugem, enquanto que as laranjeiras "Hamlin'e ‘Valência' não diferiram entre si. Departamento de Diagnóstico e Pesquisa Agropecuária.
