Resumo: The experiment started in 1987 and finished in 1.990; was carried out at Estação Experimental Agronômica, Universidade federal do Rio Grande do Sul, located in Eldorado do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul —Brazil (30° 05' S, 5l"40' W). The orchard was established in 1976 and the main objective of the experiment was to evaluate fruit yield and quality of 'Valência' orange submitted to six spray fertilization treatments, with ultimate suppression of magnesium, manganese, zinc and boron. The experimental design was in randomized blocks, with five replications. Results did not show any effect on fruit yield, but there were significant effects on fruit quality. The fertilization increased the concentration of boron, manganese, and zinc in the leaaves.

O presente trabalho foi iniciado em 1987 c concluído em 1990, na Estação Experimental Agronômica da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, RS (30°05' S, 51°40' W). Utilizou-se um pomar instalado em 1976, com o objetivo de avaliar a produção e qualidade dos frutos da laranjeira 'Valência' submetida a seis tratamentos de adubação foliar, com a supressão alternada dos seguintes nutrientes: magnésio, manganês, zinco e boro. O delineamento foi em blocos casualizados, com cinco repetições. Não foram constatados efeitos das adubações na produção, número e peso dos frutos. Constatou-se efeitos na percentagem de suco, sólidos solúveis totais e acidez total. As adubações aumentaram os teores foliares de boro, magnésio e zinco.
