FORENSIC ASSISTANCE PRACTICES CARRIED OUT BY NURSES TO WOMEN IN SITUATIONS OF VIOLENCE: SCOPE REVIEW

Objective: To map forensic practices performed by nurses on women in situations of violence. Method: Scope review, following the recommendations of the Joanna Brigss Institute, in databases and gray literature, from June to November 2022. For selection, the flow diagram Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping was used Reviews. Results: 28 documents were chosen, most of them articles, published in 2021 and in Brazil. Five categories emerged: prevention and identification of violence against women, interventions, referrals and monitoring of women in situations of violence, highlighting the practices: embracement; bond establishment; physical exam; blood collection; notification in the Notification Grievance Information System; and guidelines and support for women on police registration, antiretrovirals and condom use. Conclusion: Forensic practices performed by nurses on women in situations of violence are diverse, ranging from preventive measures to specific actions required to face the problem.
