RISK ANALYSIS OF BURNOUT SYNDROME IN PRIMARY CARE NURSING PROFESSIONALS

Resumo: Objective: to identify the risk factors for the development of the Burnout Syndrome among nursing professionals working in Primary Health Care. Method: exploratory descriptive study, carried out in the Primary Care units of a municipality in the state of Ceará, Brazil. The data collected were divided into three categories: emotional fatigue; depersonalization and personal accomplishment; organized in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and analyzed descriptively. Results: among the risk factors, it was evident that the professionals believe they could do more for the people assisted (21.6%) and feel exhausted when they reach the end of the work shift (21.6%). Conclusion: there is a need to analyze the working conditions of nursing professionals working in primary care, since they are inserted in an environment with several risk factors for Burnout Syndrome, as well as to implement strategies aimed at promoting the occupational health of these individuals, in order to provide a better quality of life and satisfaction in the work environment.

Material y método: estudio descriptivo exploratorio, realizado en las unidades de Atención Primaria de un municipio del estado de Ceará, Brasil. Los datos recogidos se dividieron en tres categorías: fatiga emocional, despersonalización y realización personal; se organizaron en hojas de cálculo de Microsoft Excel y se analizaron de forma descriptiva. Resultados: entre los factores de riesgo, se evidenció que los profesionales creen que podrían hacer más por las personas asistidas (21,6%) y se sienten agotados al llegar al final del turno de trabajo (21,6%). Conclusión: existe la necesidad de analizar las condiciones de trabajo de los profesionales de la enfermería en la atención primaria, ya que están insertos en un ambiente con diversos factores de riesgo para el Síndrome de Burnout, así como implementar estrategias dirigidas a la promoción de la salud ocupacional de estas personas, con el fin de proporcionar una mejor calidad de vida y satisfacción en el ambiente laboral.Objetivo: identificar os fatores de risco para o desenvolvimento da Síndrome de Burnout entre os profissionais de enfermagem atuantes na Atenção Primária à Saúde. Método: estudo descritivo exploratório, realizado nas unidades de Atenção Primária de um município do estado do Ceará, Brasil. Os dados coletados foram divididos em três categorias: cansaço emocional; despersonalização e realização pessoal; organizados em planilhas eletrônicas no Microsoft Excel e analisadas descritivamente. Resultados: dentre os fatores de risco, foi evidenciado que os profissionais acreditam que poderiam fazer mais pelas pessoas assistidas (21,6%) e sentem-se esgotados quando chega ao final do turno de trabalho (21,6%).
