Resumo: Objective: To analyze the scientific literature on the incidence of RSI/WMSD in nursing workers and identify the strategies formulated to reduce its incidence in health services. Method: An integrative review study was carried out. The search took place from January to March 2021, in the Online Scientific Electronic Library (SciELO), in the Virtual Health Library (VHL) and in the databases: Web of Science, Pubmed, Scopus, Cochrane and Cinahl. Results: 21 articles were included, listed in two categories. The studies expressed a high incidence of cumulative traumatic disorders in nursing professionals, especially in assistants and technicians, showing the profile and difficulties faced by workers affected with conditions. Few studies were included in the prevention and/or combat strategies for the development of these disorders, reinforcing the need for clinical studies to improve ergonomics in the work environment. Conclusion: The evidence from this research contributes for professionals and managers of health services to know the content produced in the literature about the most frequent cumulative traumatic disorders in nursing professionals, enabling the formulation of interventions aimed at their prevention and control.
