Resumo: Objective: To develop and apply an intervention proposal, according to the Theoretical Model presented by nurse Callista Roy, to parents / caregivers of children on the Autistic Spectrum in a municipality in Maranhão. Methodology: Evaluative, exploratory study with a qualitative approach, carried out in a municipality in Maranhão, with 31 parents / caregivers of children on the Autistic Spectrum, using a sociodemographic form, structured interview according to Roy's model and a physical examination general, as well as the application of Beck's Anxiety and Depression Inventories. Results: Adaptive problems were verified in the Physiological Mode - abdominal indigestion / discomfort, altered sleep, agitation, lack of energy, inability to relax, crying, difficulty concentrating, fear of the worst, fear of dying; stunned and nervous; Self-concept mode - adaptive problems of loss of pleasure, irritability, tiredness or fatigue and self-criticism; Function mode in real life - devaluation, fear of losing control and indecision; and yet, the Interdependence Mode - loss of interest in sex and loss of interest. Furthermore, nineteen nursing diagnoses and necessary nursing interventions were established, and this intervention proposal was provided to the study participants. Conclusion: the theoretical framework of nurse Callista Roy can be fully applied to these people and their family nucleus and it is highlighted that Nursing, as the consolidated profession that has become, needs to recover its constructs, assumptions and references, using the Nursing Process and applying it in their practice so that their work can be exclusive to the profession, specific and effective.

In Derme; Vol. 94 No. 32 (2020): Out.
