Resumo: Objective: to report the educational experience of the quilombola population of the Patioba community, developed by an academic team on the promotion and prevention of diseases associated with the Aedes aegypti vector. Method: experience report study was carried out in the quilombola community Patioba in the State of Sergipe developed by students of the nursing course that used observation of reality and conversation wheel methods to raise problems and possible resolutions for them. Results: The main problems are associated with Aedes aegypti proliferation as well as the synthesis of solutions based on the literature to interrupt the proliferation of the Aedes aegypti vector promoting the prevention and control of Dengue, Zika and Chikungunya diseases. Conclusion: the activities developed allowed the dissemination of knowledge on mosquito proliferation and control, making the participants responsible for vector control and health promotion.

Método: estudo do tipo relato de experiência realizado na comunidade quilombola Patioba no Estado de Sergipe desenvolvido por discentes do curso de enfermagem que utilizaram metodologias de observação da realidade e roda de conversa para levantamento de problemas e possíveis resoluções para os mesmos. Resultados: Os principais problemas elencados estão associados a proliferação do ​Aedes aegypti bem como a síntese de soluções fundamentadas na literatura para interromper a proliferação do vetor Aedes aegypti promovendo a prevenção e controle das doenças Dengue, Zika e Chikungunya.
