ANTINEOPLASTIC EXTRAVASSIONS IN A CHEMOTHERAPY AMBULATORY IN THE STATE OF MARANHÃO

Resumo: OBJECTIVE: to evaluate the number of adverse events such as extravasation of antineoplastic agents in cancer patients undergoing treatment at a chemotherapy outpatient clinic of a CACON. METHODS: this is a cross-sectional transcriptional study with a secondary quantitative approach, based on secondary data on adverse events recorded in the notification book of a CACON High Complexity Oncology Center in São Luís, Maranhão. RESULTS: 19 notifications of extravasation were recorded, with the highest number of records in the months of February and April, in both sexes, aged over 60 years, with prostate cancer and breast cancer, carboplatin drugs, docetaxel and paclitaxel, in an interval of 28 days, using jelco, on the upper limbs, with signs and symptoms of pain and burning and with quick action by the team. CONCLUSION: the HCAB chemotherapy outpatient clinic has a low rate of extravasation in relation to its annual number of consultations.

MÉTODOS: se trata de un estudio transcripcional transversal, con abordaje cuantitativo secundario, basado en datos secundarios sobre eventos adversos registrados en el libro de notificaciones de un Centro de Oncología de Alta Complejidad CACON, en São Luís, Maranhão. RESULTADOS: Se registraron 19 notificaciones de extravasación, con mayor número de registros en los meses de febrero y abril, en ambos sexos, mayores de 60 años, con cáncer de próstata y cáncer de mama, carboplatino, docetaxel y paclitaxel, en un intervalo de 28 días, utilizando Jelco, en miembros superiores, con signos y síntomas de dolor y ardor y con rápida actuación del equipo. CONCLUSIÓN: el ambulatorio de quimioterapia HCAB tiene una baja tasa de extravasación en relación a su número anual de consultas.OBJETIVO: avaliar o número de eventos adversos do tipo extravasamento de antineoplasicos em pacientes oncológicos em tratamento em um ambulatório de quimioterapia de um CACON. MÉTODOS: trata-se de uma pesquisa transcritiva transversal com abordagem quantitativa secundária realizada a partir de dados secundários de eventos adversos realizados em livro de notificação de um Centro de Alta Complexidade em Oncologia CACON em São Luís, Maranhão. RESULTADOS: foram registradas 19 notificações de extravasamento, com maior número de registro nos meses de fevereiro e abril, em ambos os sexos, com faixa etária acima de 60 anos, com câncer de próstata e câncer de mama, drogas carboplatina, docetaxel e paclitaxel, em intervalo de 28 dias, utilizando jelco, nos membros superiores, com sinais e sintomas de dor e ardor e com atuação rápida da equipe.
