Resumo: Over the years, childbirth assistance has undergone changes, moving away from the natural and physiological context towards the subjugation of birthing individuals to healthcare professionals, threatening their autonomy and women's agency through unnecessary interventions, known as obstetric violence. This violence can manifest verbally, physically, and psychologically, involving the appropriation of the female body and reproductive processes by healthcare providers. The objective of this study was to describe the development of an educational technology in the form of a "cordel" (traditional Brazilian poetic literature) focusing on educating pregnant women and their support network about obstetric violence. The study followed a methodological approach, including data collection, article review, and content selection for the creation of the cordel literature. Themes to be addressed in the cordel were defined through extensive bibliographic research and expressed in rhymes characteristic of this literary form. Internal images for the literature and cover were subsequently selected, and the cordel layout was designed with the incorporation of videos to prioritize accessibility. The authors produced a cordel titled "Obstetric Violence, Shall We Learn?" comprising eight pages, cover, and back cover, with 24 stanzas, each composed of six verses. The study facilitated knowledge, reflection, and critical thinking about the topic.
