Resumo: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a clinical syndrome characterized by a gradual and progressive reduction in excretory, endocrine and metabolic renal functions. The aim of this study was to write the clinical and sociodemographic profile of hemodialysis patients. This is a descriptive, exploratory study with a quantitative approach, carried out in a hemodialysis center in Teresina-PI, through a questionnaire conducted with 50 patients, which were shown in tables and figures. As for the results, 40% were male, aged between 48 to 57 years and 58 to 67 years; brown skin color with 72%; 66% were married; 78% retired; 82% with a family income of up to 1 minimum wage; 44% from Teresina; and 34% with incomplete elementary education. Hemodialysis treatment time was 5 to 9 years with 52% the main underlying disease being SAH. Regarding the importance of dialysis, everyone considers treatment important. In view of the data described, a clinical and sociodemographic profile of the patients in this research was outlined, revealing the high prevalence of men, with low income, undergoing treatment for a long period of time in which the underlying disease was SAH and that everyone recognized the treatment. dialysis with great importance. O objetivo deste estudo foi escrever o perfil clínico e sociodemográfico dos pacientes hemodialisados. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, exploratório, com abordagem quantitativa, realizada em um centro de hemodiálise em Teresina-PI, através de um questionário realizado com 50 pacientes, foram demostrados em tabelas e figuras. Quanto aos resultados 40% eram do sexo masculino com faixa etária entre 48 a 57 anos e 58 a 67 anos; cor da pele pardo com 72%; 66% eram casados; 78% aposentados; 82% com renda familiar de até 1 salário mínimo; 44% com procedência de Teresina; e 34% com ensino fundamental incompleto. O tempo de tratamento de hemodiálise eram de 5 a 9 anos com 52% a principal doença de base foi HAS. Sobre a importância da dialise todos consideram importante o tratamento. Diante dos dados descritos traçou-se um perfil clínico e sociodemográfico dos pacientes desta pesquisa, revelando a alta predominância de homens, com baixa renda, fazendo tratamento a longo período de tempo no qual a doença de base era a HAS e que todos reconheceram o tratamento da diálise com muita importância.
