Resumo: ABSTRACT Objective: this study aims to describe and to analyze scientific evidences related to quality of life of oncology patients affected by neoplastic wounds.Methodology: This study is an integrative review of the literature. The search occurred in August 2016 in the following databases: Medline / Pubmed;Cinahl and Lilacs. Results: It was found 149 reports papers, however only 17 met the eligibility criteria to be included for analysis. Most of studies found, agreed that the prime factor to improve the quality of life is to control physical symptoms, such as: pain, odor, exudate, bleeding, changes and dressings adjustments. It is also mentioned how important and essential to evaluate psychosocial aspects, as well as spiritual and sexual aspects. We suggest the use of the instruments to assess the care. The level of evidence was classified as level VII. Conclusion: the results have shown enough evidence based results thata the patient life should be assessed and evaluated in a holistic approach. All aspects of the patient’s life should be taken in consideration and not only the wound by itself. This way they can improve their encouragement to live and face the disease. Keywords: Oncology, wounds and injuries, quality of life.
