EVIDENCE OF MATERNAL SELF-EFFICIENCY IN PRENATAL CARE AND FOLLOW-UP: SCOPING REVIEW

Resumo: Objective: to map evidence of maternal self-efficacy obtained through the Childbirth Selfefcacy Inventory during prenatal care and follow-up. Methods: scope review, with a search strategy using the terms "Pregnancy", "Self-efficacy", "Prenatal care", in Medline, Scopus, Pubmed, Web of Science, Lilacs, Cinahl databases and in the Scielo library. The eligibility criteria were: primary studies, full text, in different languages. For the critical analysis of the experimental designs, reviews and qualitative, the criteria of the Critical Appraisal Skills Program and the checklists of the Joanna Briggs Institute were used. The final sample consisted of 14 articles, as they met the question and objectives of the research. Results: It was noted in the literature publications on the subject from 2007 to 2020, and in relation to the methodological characteristics, descriptive studies, randomized controlled clinical trials and clinical trials without randomization were found. Final considerations: The main evidence shows that self-efficacy in childbirth is an important concept with regard to preparation for labor and delivery, and is a beneficial assessment of pregnant women's beliefs in their ability to manage childbirth.

Métodos: revisión de alcance, con estrategia de búsqueda utilizando los términos "Embarazo", "Autoeficacia", "Cuidado prenatal", en las bases de datos Medline, Scopus, Pubmed, Web of Science, Lilacs, Cinahl y en la biblioteca Scielo. Los criterios de elegibilidad fueron: estudios primarios, texto completo, en diferentes idiomas. Para el análisis crítico de los diseños experimentales, revisiones y cualitativo, se utilizaron los criterios del Critical Appraisal Skills Program y las listas de cotejo del Instituto Joanna Briggs. La muestra final estuvo conformada por 14 artículos, ya que cumplieron con la pregunta y objetivos de la investigación. Resultados: Se notó en la literatura publicaciones sobre el tema del 2007 al 2020, y en relación a las características metodológicas se encontraron estudios descriptivos, ensayos clínicos controlados aleatorizados y ensayos clínicos sin aleatorización. Consideraciones finales: La principal evidencia muestra que la autoeficacia en el parto es un concepto importante con respecto a la preparación para el trabajo de parto y el parto, y es una evaluación beneficiosa de las creencias de las mujeres embarazadas sobre su capacidad para manejar el parto.Objetivo: mapear evidências de autoeficácia materna obtidas por meio do Childbirth Selfefcacy Inventory durante a assistência e acompanhamento pré-natal. Compuseram a amostra final 14 artigos, por atender a questão e os objetivos da pesquisa. Resultados: Notou-se na literatura publicações sobre a temática de 2007 a 2020, e em relação as características metodológicas foram encontrados estudos descritivos, ensaios clínicos randomizados controlados e ensaios clínicos sem randomização.
