Resumo: This article aims to study the work of the Sensory Ethnography Lab from Harvard University through the analysis of the feature film Leviathan (2012), directed by Lucien Castaing-Taylor and Véréna Paravel. This text will also address specificities of ethnographic film, observational documentary and avant-garde cinema as important tecno-aesthetic aspects of contemporary cinema will be highlighted.

Este texto también abordará las especificidades del cine etnográfico, el documental observacional y el cine de vanguardia, ya que se destacarán importantes aspectos tecnoestéticos del cine contemporáneo.Este artigo tem como objetivo o estudo da produção do Sensory Ethnography Lab (Laboratório de Etnografia Sensorial) da Universidade de Harvard, tomando como objeto à análise fílmica o longa-metragem Leviathan (2012), dirigido por Lucien Castaing-Taylor e Véréna Paravel.
