Resumo: Analisa o histórico e aplicabilidade da Convenção de Nova Iorque. Apresenta o histórico legislativo dos instrumentos que antecederam a Convenção. Examina, à luz da Convenção, o conceito de sentenças arbitrais estrangeiras e das sentenças arbitrais não consideradas sentenças domésticas.
