Resumo: This study intends to understand the social representations of recent graduates on tourism in the Northeast Region of Brazil, who have just gotten their degrees, present with respect to the concept of sustainable tourism and its translation into daily practices. In order to undertake the interviews, a group of students from two private colleges in Maceió, State of Alagoas, was selected and the methodology of “discourse analysis of collective subject” proposed by Fernando Lefévre, was used. The discussion presented here points out to a reflection on the practice of bachelor graduated in tourism and on the constitution, itself, of the basis and principles of the teaching of tourism within academy.

The discussion presented here points out to a reflection on the practice of bachelor graduated in tourism and on the constitution, itself, of the basis and principles of the teaching of tourism within academy.
