Aborda as legislações estrangeiras dos Estados Unidos da América, Alemanha, Itália e Portugal que tratam de documento digital e de assinatura digital. Expõe a questão da assinatura digital. Informa os entendimentos que a circundam. Analisa o papel desempenhado pela criptografia de chave assimétrica e das autoridades certificadoras no Brasil. Aponta os instrumentos normativos que compõe a Infra-Estrutura de Chaves Pública Brasileira – ICP-Brasil. Expõe algumas ações desempenhadas pelos órgãos judiciários brasileiros no que se refere a implementação e efetivo uso da assinatura digital. Apresenta as Autoridades Certificadoras credenciadas.
