O tema do presente trabalho é apresentar uma breve análise histórica e atual sobre formação policial diante da problemática das drogas, bem como uma discussão sobre a avaliação da disciplina de Prevenção e Repressão às Drogas - PRD, na perspectiva do aluno policial militar do Curso de Formação de Praças da Polícia Militar do Distrito Federal - CFP III/PMDF. Para isso, procurou-se por meio da análise comparativa e qualitativa de informações estatísticas, livros, periódicos, publicações institucionais, fatores históricos, publicações diversas e pela aplicação de uma ficha avaliativo para uma amostra de 116 alunos policiais militares, diante de um universo de 1.046 alunos que participaram das atividades da disciplina. Busca-se no presente trabalho identificar os obstáculos, os pontos fortes, os pontos a crescer e a necessidade de mudanças quanto ao foco de conteúdos, técnicas de ensino e objetivos atualmente desenvolvidos na formação dos policiais militares. Concluindo pela ótica os alunos do CFP III que a disciplina PRD é de fundamental importância para a formação policial, assim como a atualização, ampliação e reformulação dos conteúdos referentes à questão das drogas. Assim, sugere-se uma reflexão sobre a implementação de uma Especialização Lato Sensu direcionada ao tema, a qual poderá viabilizar novas soluções, recursos e procedimentos para a formação e atuação policial, diante da problemática das drogas. The subject of this work is to present a brief historical and current analysis and actual about police training in front of the drug problem, well as a reflection on evaluation of the discipline Drug’s Prevention and Repression – PRD, in the perspective of the military police student of police officer Training of Military Police of the Federal District – CFP III/PMDF. For that, we tried to through comparative and qualitative analysis of statistical information, books, periodicals, institutional publications, historical factors, and several publications by the application of an evaluative form to a sample of 116 military police students, facing a universe of 1,046 students who participated in activities of the discipline. Search in the present work to identify the obstacles, the strengths, grow points and the necessity for change as the focus of contents and objectives currently developed in the training of new police officers.
