E tem o objetivo de mostrar o quanto a UIT é importante para a humanidade, pois a organização influencia a vida das pessoas tanto direta quanto indiretamente. Nem todos conhecem os trabalhos em que a União participa, mas a organização está diretamente ligada à Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações (ANATEL) no Brasil e a Autoridade Nacional de Comunicações (ANACOM) em Portugal. O teste da hipótese do trabalho se deu pela pesquisa e análise que os programas e reuniões organizados pela UIT beneficiaram os países que sofreram os desastres naturais e a atuação do Brasil na União. Concluiu-se que houve uma presença forte da UIT em todos os grandes desastres naturais ocorrido no mundo, como por exemplo, o tsunami no Sudeste da Ásia em 2004 e o terremoto na China em 2008.The present study it approaches the main works that the International Union of Telecommunications makes in the occurrences of the natural disasters, from its creation in 1932, describing the forms with that the Union acts in the country with regard to the damages to the telecommunications suffered during the catastrophes, as earthquakes, tsunamis and others. And has the objective to show how much the UIT is important for the humanity, therefore the organization influences the life of the people in such a way direct how much indirectly. Nor all know the works where the Union participates, but the organization is directly on to the National Agency of Telecommunications (ANATEL) in Brazil and the National Authority of Communications (ANACOM) in Portugal. The test of the hypothesis of the work if gave for the research and analysis that the programs and meetings organized for the UIT had benefited the countries that had suffered to the natural disasters and the performance from Brazil in the Union.
