A partir disso surgiu uma intrínseca relação entre sujeitos e coletividade com a finalidade de capacitação para se identificar e controlar os fatores determinantes da saúde, tudo isso para garantir a melhoria de vida e saúde da população. Essa definição foi reforçada com uma série de conferências Internacionais e Regionais. No Brasil a promoção da saúde se fortaleceu no âmbito do programa de Agentes Comunitários de Saúde e estratégias de Saúde da Família e teve como objetivo implementar ações de promoção da saúde no SUS. A diminuição da exposição a fatores de risco tem uma relação direta com a intervenção sobre as doenças crônicas não transmissíveis. Por isso, é imprescindível ao enfermeiro realizar práticas de educação em saúde, podendo exercer influência sobre o estilo de vida das pessoas. Diante disso, o objetivo desse estudo foi verificar o nível de conhecimento dos alunos do oitavo semestre do curso de Enfermagem da Universidade Católica de Brasília no que diz respeito aos temas e aplicações relacionados à Promoção da Saúde. A pesquisa trata-se de um estudo epidemiológico analítico do tipo transversal que para sua realização foi aplicado um questionário semi-estruturado (Apêndice), utilizando a técnica de entrevista aos 32 (trinta e dois) estudantes do curso. De acordo com a pesquisa 68,7% dos estudantes se dizem aptos para desenvolverem ações de PS junto à comunidade, pois os serviços e as ações oferecidas durante o curso de Enfermagem da UCB sobre PS ofereceram subsídios suficientes para compreenderem e desenvolverem as ações próprias para a PS. Concluímos que o processo de formação do enfermeiro no que diz respeito ao tema PS ainda está falho, pois esse profissional não deve ter dúvidas de como, quando e onde deve agir em prol da facilitação da PS.The initial landmark of the development of the ideas regarding the Promotion of the Health in the world was the Letter of Ottawa, in Canada in 1986. From this it appeared an intrinsic relation between citizens and collective with the purpose of qualification to identify and to control the determinative factors of the health, everything this to guarantee the improvement of life and health of the population. This definition was strengthened with a series of International and Regional conferences. In Brazil the promotion of the health if fortified in the scope of the program of Communitarian Agents of Health and strategies of Health of the Family and had as objective to implement action of promotion of the health in the SUS. The reduction of the exposition the risk factors has a direct relation with the intervention on not transmissible the chronic illnesses. Therefore, it is essential to the nurse to carry through practical of education in health, being able to exert influence on the style of life of the people. Ahead of this, the objective of this study was to verify the level of knowledge of the pupils of the eighth semester of the course of Nursing of the University Catholic of Brasilia in what it says respect to the subjects and applications related to the Promotion of the Health. The research is about a study analytical epidemiologist of the transversal type that stops its accomplishment was applied a half-structuralized questionnaire (Appendix), using the technique of interview to the 32 (thirty and two) students of the course. In accordance with research 68.7% of the students if says apt to develop action of PS next to the community, therefore the services and the actions offered during the course of Nursing of the UCB on PS had offered subsidies enough to understand and to develop the proper actions for the PS.
