Entretanto, se torna cada vez mais ausente o acompanhamento familiar, embora a legislação estabeleça que o cuidado dos idosos seja responsabilidade da família. Diante do contexto, muitas pessoas recorrem a Instituições de Longa Permanência de Idosos (ILPI´s), para que essa assuma a responsabilidade para com seus entes. Nesse sentido, a pesquisa teve como foco principal analisar os dados dos vínculos familiares dos idosos institucionalizados, por meio de documentos (relatórios, prontuários e pareceres) da Instituição Lar Maria Madalena, no Distrito Federal. Tendo como principais referências teóricas os trabalhos de investigação a cerca do tema realizado pelos autores Queiroz (2010), Camarano; Kanso (2010), Alves (2010), Alcântara (2004), Martinez (2006), Minayo (1994, 2002), o próprio Estatuto do Idoso, Código Civil (2003), o Regulamento Técnico aprovado pela Resolução da Diretoria Colegiada - RDC/ANVISA Nº 283 de 26 de setembro de 2005, dentre outros documentos como relatórios, prontuários e pareceres, que são instrumentos de trabalho do Serviço Social da ILPI. Para tanto foi realizado revisão bibliográfica da literatura existente sobre o tema, seguida da análise documental de relatórios, prontuários, pareceres e relatório do Estágio Supervisionado II referente aos encontros produzidos a cerca do tema, em quanto Projeto de Intervenção de Estágio, durante o ano de 2011/2012. Para a análise documental foram utilizadas as referências de Casara (2009), Duarte (2005), Néri (2002), entre outros autores. O estudo conclui que, a maioria dos idosos institucionalizados não possui qualquer vínculo com seus familiares. As principais causas das fragilidades dos vínculos familiares são ocasionadas pelos conflitos geracionais (violência, dependências químicas e o alcoolismo), a ausência de rede social e por motivos diversos como a distância, falta de tempo ou abandono. A instituição Lar Maria Madalena desenvolve ações como: oficinas, eventos e projeto para fortalecer o vínculo com os familiares dos idosos. O fortalecimento do vínculo familiar é um fator muito importante para o convívio diário e saudável dos idosos da ILPI Lar Maria Madalena. Assim como também, a elaboração, pela Instituição, de novos projetos, atividades, programas educativos e campanhas de conscientização visando a valorização dos direitos dos idosos pela sociedade.Population aging is a reality that presents concrete and growing, reflecting the great social, cultural, economic, institutional and family.
