Sustainability in five residential buildings using the Blue House Seal

Resumo: The contemplation of the sustainability seal in civil construction has a direct impact on the quality of life of its occupants, energy efficiency, and the operational economy of the residence. Also, environmental certification can be used as a marketing tool for the property, the municipality, and the quality of the urban environment. The Casa Azul Caixa Seal is a classification instrument based on socio-environmental indicators for housing development projects to find more efficient solutions in the natural resources use and to improve the quality of housing and its surroundings. The objective was to apply sustainability indicators from the Casa Azul Caixa Seal (2010 and 2020) in evaluating five single-family residential buildings completed in 2020 in the city of Concórdia, SC. The methodology is qualitative and quantitative, using the indicators of the Casa Azul Caixa Seal guide as a parameter, organized into six categories. The results showed that none of the five residences obtained the Bronze Seal, as they did not meet all the mandatory items, the sustainability standard to be certified. The highest-rated category was efficient water management, followed by sustainable production. The evidence makes it possible to conclude the probability of not having considered the criteria for obtaining the seal in developing the projects.

Asimismo, la certificación ambiental puede ser utilizada como herramienta de comercialización del inmueble, del municipio y de la calidad del entorno urbano. El Sello Casa Azul Caixa es un instrumento de clasificación basado en indicadores socioambientales para proyectos de desarrollo habitacional, con el fin de encontrar soluciones más eficientes en el uso de los recursos naturales y en la mejora de la calidad de la vivienda y su entorno. El objetivo es aplicar indicadores de sostenibilidad del Sello Casa Azul Caixa (2010 y 2020), en la evaluación de cinco edificios residenciales unifamiliares terminados en 2020 en la ciudad de Concórdia, SC. La metodología es cualitativa y cuantitativa, utilizando como parámetros indicadores de la guía Sello Casa Azul Caixa organizados en seis categorías. Los resultados mostraron que ninguna de las cinco residencias obtuvo el Sello Bronce, ya que no cumplieron con todos los ítems obligatorios, el estándar de sostenibilidad para ser certificadas. La categoría mejor valorada fue la gestión eficiente del agua, seguida de la producción sostenible. La evidencia permite concluir la probabilidad de no haber considerado los criterios para la obtención del sello en el desarrollo de los proyectos.A contemplação do selo de sustentabilidade na construção civil impacta diretamente a qualidade de vida de seus ocupantes, a eficiência energética e a economia operacional da residência. Também, a certificação ambiental pode ser utilizada como instrumento de marketing para o imóvel, município e a qualidade do ambiente urbano. O Selo Casa Azul Caixa é um instrumento de classificação por intermédio de indicadores socioambientais para projetos de empreendimentos habitacionais, a fim de soluções mais eficientes no uso de recursos naturais e na melhoria da qualidade da habitação e de seu entorno. O objetivo foi aplicar indicadores de sustentabilidade do Selo Casa Azul Caixa (2010 e 2020), na avaliação de cinco edificações residenciais unifamiliares concluídas em 2020, na cidade de Concórdia, SC. A metodologia é do tipo qualitativa e quantitativa, utilizando como parâmetro os indicadores do guia Selo Casa Azul Caixa, organizados em seis categorias. Os resultados demonstraram que nenhuma das cinco residências obteve Selo Bronze, pois não atingiram todos os itens obrigatórios, padrão de sustentabilidade para ser certificada. A categoria mais bem avaliada foi a gestão eficiente da água e, a seguir, produção sustentável.
