Resumo: | This study aims to analyze the acting of the high school student movement in Guarapuava during the Brazilian civil-military dictatorship. The time interval is justified because it was the period in which the student organization worked significantly on the national scene and had more social visibility. In the literature we find the lack of written sources about the history of education in Guarapuava during the given period and the absence of studies on the Guarapuava’s student movement that led us to use oral sources and journals from the city. For the development of this research, the theoretical and methodological orientation adopted was the historical and dialectical materialism, since it is the method that allows interpreting reality in a dialectical logic. The investigation thus, must interpret the object along with society and individuals involved in the historical construction process. Thus, the work was divided into three parts: the first chapter has highlighted the role of the secondary school student movement of Guarapuava in the period of the Brazilian civil-military dictatorship. The second chapter contextualizes this period in the city and presents briefly the history of the city so that from this information we can understand how the city was configured and engender a discussion with the national scene during the opening of the Brazilian military regime. The third part presents the student movement as a social movement, its history in the country, highlighting the period of the Brazilian civil-military dictatorship, when the student organization gains greater social visibility. It was perceived how the work of Guarapuava’s high school students was significant in the city's history and in the history of the movement. Believing that with their actions, even in the local scene, they could change the world, was one of the characteristics of the student movement of Guarapuava. |

O recorte temporal justifica-se por ter sido o período em que a organização estudantil atuou de modo significativo no cenário nacional e teve mais visibilidade social. Durante o levantamento bibliográfico encontramos a carência de fontes escritas a cerca da história da educação guarapuavana no período assinalado e a ausência de estudos sobre o movimento estudantil secundarista guarapuavano que nos levou a recorrer às fontes orais e aos periódicos veiculados na cidade. Para o desenvolvimento da pesquisa, a orientação teórico-metodológica adotada foi baseada no materialismo histórico-dialético, por ser o método que permite interpretar a realidade numa lógica dialética. A investigação desse modo deve se apropriar do objeto interpretando-o junto à sociedade e aos sujeitos envolvidos no processo da construção histórica. Deste modo, o trabalho foi dividido em três partes: no primeiro capítulo foi destacada a atuação do movimento estudantil secundarista de Guarapuava no período da ditadura civil-militar brasileira. O segundo capítulo contextualiza esse período na cidade e apresenta de modo breve a história do município para que a partir dessas informações possamos compreender como se configurava a cidade e engendrar uma discussão com o cenário nacional durante a instauração do regime militar brasileiro. O terceiro capítulo apresenta o movimento estudantil enquanto movimento social, sua trajetória no país destacando o período da ditadura civil-militar brasileira, quando a organização estudantil ganha maior visibilidade social. Percebemos com isso como a atuação dos estudantes secundaristas guarapuavanos foi significativa na história da cidade e na própria história do movimento.
